Director of the Senior Services Department for the City of Manchester, New Hampshire - Cashin Senior Center. Professionally I hold a Masters’ in Clinical Social Work, licensed in Massachusetts. I attended graduate school at Boston University School of Social Work, did my undergraduate studies at Lesley University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Counseling Psychology. I held internships at Haverhill District Court, Tufts Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center. I returned to school in 1996 and must say that I got my inspiration and confidence to continue my education from living and working in New York City. I worked at Mandl College for Allied Health as a Medical Assistant Instructor, then promoted to Dean of Students. I have great admiration for the President of the School and then Director of Education, as they both saw my potential and worth, which in turn gave me confidence and inspiration to continue my education. But I can’t forget the person who was my greatest supporter and inspiration, my son and best friend. He was and still is there to support me through adversity, challenges and obstacles helping me through my journey to success. Before continuing my education I worked for many years in the medical field as a Cardiology Technologist which in turn gave me the experience I needed to work at Mandl College. Once I graduated from Boston University School of Social Work, I held positions in long term care as Director of Social Services, a career school as Director of Education, and many years in Clinical Social Work ; medical social work, case management, crisis and trauma, psychiatry and substance abuse.
