National Voter Survey
October 2008
The Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease, along with two of the nation’s leading political polling firms, Lake Research Partners and Voter/Consumer Research, Inc., released the findings of a recent survey evaluating the attitudes of men and women voters about health care and the 2008 election.
In light of the recent economic downturn, the survey specifically looked at whether health care remains a central issue for female voters. As a key voting demographic, many political experts suggest that women will be a decisive factor influencing the outcome of the 2008 election. The survey also addressed the issue of health care costs and proposed solutions.
