The Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease and WellPoint convened an in-depth discussion featuring initiatives and collaborations on the cutting edge of health care delivery models and physician incentives.
New models of care developed and studied in collaboration between the public and private sector offer encouragement that a patient-centered, coordinated, affordable approach to care delivery can become the reality for patients, providers and communities across America. Central to many of these new care models is a focus on rewards and incentives for providers who demonstrate success in improving the quality, experience and affordability of care provided to patients.
This event explored the benefits of aligning provider incentives with the goals of new care delivery models. A panel of health care delivery experts described various programs and partnerships.
Panelists will include:
- Candace Dematteis, Policy Director, Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease
- Jon Easter, Director, Public Policy and Advocacy, GlaxoSmithKline
- Kavita Patel, MD, Managing Director for Clinical Transformation and Delivery, Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform, Brookings Institution
