The Hill: America’s Health System Can’t Put Insurers Before Patients

Science and technology continue to bring about incredible advances in health care. These advances not only help improve the lives of patients, but that in turn has a great impact on society. PFCD Chairman Ken Thorpe writes in The Hill about, “several revolutionary new medicines to fight America’s leading cause of death: heart disease.” Ken notes, “Defining value is a vitally important discussion we need to have in America, particularly as healthcare shifts from paying for volume to paying for value.
